5 Products My Skin is Loving Right Now // June Favourites

Finally some type of skin care post- I have been meaning to write more of these but executing the job has not been easy feat. I try many different products every month mainly because I enjoy learning ingredients and what works for different types of skin, including my own. Essentially I am a product whore. I love indulging in skincare, beauty, hair and body products of all sorts. This month I bring to you my favourites and this time I have quite a mix.

I will start with the product I have gone through the most and this is definitely the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water . I have been using the cult, Bioderma micellar for a long time and have loved it. I still do however it is a little pricey compared to Garnier’s version. I almost always double cleanse at night and I find that by using a cleansing water to remove my makeup (especially on the eyes) ensures that my face is clean and ready for my night skincare routine. Apply onto a cotton pad and most of eyeliner and mascara comes off. Definitely a good budget buy!

Another hot item on my beauty shelf is an item I got in the Cult Beauty Box by Anna & Lily a couple of months ago. It is from Pixi a brand I have heard about a lot on the Youtube arena and have been wanting to try. This Hydrating Milky Mist from Pixi by Petra is a spray that can be spritzed all over your face. It is good because it contains Hyaluronic Acid which is good for maintaing the skin’s moisture levels. Other than leaving your skin refreshed this mist is supposed to be good for fine lines and also soothes irritation. I apply this before applying makeup as skin prep or anytime through the day for a freshen up. I’m glad I found this one! I cannot wait to try some other Pixi products too.

As winter hits, I like to change up my moisturiser for something little more potent- in other words, rich and creamy. MV Organics is an Australian owned and made hence why, when I heard it became cult I had to try it. The Rose Soothing and Protective Moisturiser is nothing but quality. It contains Rose Otto and Rose Geranium essential oils and works on all skin types including sensitive skin. It is luxurious and rich, perfect for the harsh conditions of winter and cold weather. Only downside is this tub was 15ml, great for travel not so good to last the whole season. Go for the 70ml bottle next time!

One makeup favourite, very basic but an essential for me is eyeliner. I live for any liquid eye liner, especially these pen ones.  They are easy to apply and stays put. This one is the Stila Stay All Day Waterproof Eyeliner. Generally, I have stopped going for waterproof products, mainly because I have allergies and also because I prefer the colour pay-off of the non-waterproof ones. This one is great. It is fine and can be used to create thin, fine lines however you can build it up as well. Big love!

Lastly, I have a hair product! This hairspray is unlike any other and a first for me. It is the Doo.Over by Kevin Murphy. It is a dry shampoo and retexturising spray all in one. I cut my hair to a shorter shoulder length style after the wedding and ever since I needed something that would create body and gives my curls a bit more hold. The scent of this is also a winner. Just make sure you give it a good shake before using and spray onto roots and work hands through after. Love it!
