All About Spots

Sept15_1v1

As this blogs grows (hopefully), I would like to do more fashion related posts. I can’t say I’m one of those people who live for fashion but I enjoy dressing up and look forward to new shoes! I managed my dear mum to shoot these and she’s still practicing so hope to get better pictures for you with time.

In this outfit of the day, I have one of my favourite dresses of all time.  I purchased this one from H & M while on a 2013 Malaysia holiday and it’s been worn to death. To my my dismay, I spotted a little break in one of the seams a few months back. After getting it patched up, I’ve been excited to wear it again. I honestly think I need to make a new copy of this one as what I love most is the cut and style of this dress. I don’t know how long it will last!

An Ode to Spring: Bit of a Ramble

Spring, to me, is one of the most beautiful months of the year. It is the beginning of warmer weather and the end of the gloomy, cold winters. It’s also a time when coats and gloves go into storage to make way for the bright coloured hues and florals onto street style fashion. Personally, I don’t think one should be style specific to seasons but the change plays a part in the way we feel and dress. This year also marks the first year of my long-extended time here in Malaysia. Unfortunately, this means there’s a high chance I will miss Spring in Australia this year. Oh well, not to fret I will be back! Here are images I took this time in 2014, whilst enjoying the beauty of spring at Ballarat Botanical Gardens.

I know it’s been some time since I did a blog post, I’ve been busy with daily life and the usual. I guess the time apart has also led me to a dry spell -of some sort. In an evaluation for Style by Sasha this year, I have decided make a resolution to blog at least once a week despite all the other craziness I have in my life. As I always say, it’s about quality not quantity !
As I assess areas in which I want this blog to grow further, there are a few challenges that I hope to overcome with time. Blogging in itself is fun and I love being able to observe and talk about what I want to share to my readers however executing my briefs have not been easy. One of the challenges I face is the lack of having someone to photograph me and my outfits. I love doing styling shoots and editorial type things but it’s not easy to find friends or family to help me with this. I’ve never really experimented with remote-controls and tripods and don’t think I want to go down that route.
Another important aspect I’ve been trying to focus on is direction. This blog has been about fashion, beauty and a few other bits. Sometimes I wonder if I should just concentrate on one of these areas, even though I love all of the above.  There are a few factors to this and for me a vital element are my readers. It has been great to have the support from those dearest to me. Thank you all so much. All your feedback has been greatly appreciated. I’m still thinking about it but at the end of the day it comes down to what I’m passionate about and hope that it will reflect itself.

To be honest it wasn’t easy coming back to the drawing board. As much as there have been sad moments, 2015 thus far has been exciting and crazy all at the same time. I have so much going on and I am extremely happy with where my life is at the moment.

Would be great to hear from you, my readers. What would you like to see on Style by Sasha?
